Dr. Gopal Chawla is a highly qualified and experienced Pulmonologist with more than 10 years of expertise in Pulmonary and Critical care medicine. He has a Doctorate of Medicine (DM) degree in Pulmonary and Critical care, which is a highly specialized postgraduate degree in India.
Before coming to Dubai, Dr. Chawla worked at Tawam Hospital Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, and was associated with premier healthcare institutes in India like AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Jodhpur, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital. He has also been an active member of the Indian and international society of Pulmonary and Critical care medicine and has made significant contributions to the field.
Dr. Chawla has published over 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals indexed in PubMed and has authored many chapters in various national and international books. His research interests include opportunistic infections, interstitial lung diseases, and interventional pulmonology.
Interventional pulmonology is a specialized branch of Pulmonology that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of lung diseases using advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy, and pleuroscopy. Dr. Chawla's expertise in interventional pulmonology has helped many patients with lung disorders to receive accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
